The Collateral Damage of Enterpreneurialism

My last ten years of entrepreneurial warfare has resulted in much collateral damage. For example, today I’m prepping for my second IRS audit in three years. The red flag—a few consecutive years of astronomical expenses accounted against an income level that barely reached double digits. Some days you wonder, “My God, is it worth it?” If you think too much about the crazy hours, the against-all-odds battles, the toll on your friends and family, … it can be a real downer. But then you take a deep breath and recall the unsurpassable thrill of creating something from nothing. You smile, post your blog and go back to preparing for your audit.
